Description Knowledge-Make a list of the people in our school who are our community helpers. Comprehension-We will describe the jobs that each community helper does? Application-Pick a community helper a day, take a picture of that person at work and interview that person. Analysis-We will determine what would result if we did not have these community helper at our school. Synthesis-Develop a plan as to what can be done when one of these people are not here. Evaluation-Generate ideas on what we as a class or as an individual we can do to make our school community helpers' job easier.

Description anchoring activities-read book about school about school helpers. learing centers-the students will be able to go to different center where they will pretend to be different school workers. flexible grouping-students with little knowledge of Kidspiration will be matched with a student that knows how to work on the program while making card.

 

Technology Applications

Technology (computers, handhelds, software applications, Internet) is used in a seamless fashion to promote student learning.

Technology Applications Students will use digital camera to take pictures of school workers on the job. We will show their picture on the projector. Then use computer Microsoft Paint program to draw worker and write Thank you note and write what we will do to help them.

Performance TaskStudent will write a thank you letter along with an illustration to one of the school workers discussed in class. Students will also include in their letter what he/she can do to be a better citizen at school.
