Description Knowledge: What do the students know about recycling? Create a KWL chart showing their information. Comprehension; Have the students compare and contrast our enviroment with and without recycling. Have them differentiate between the various types of recyclable materials. Haave the students think about what would happen if we never would recycle. Application: What could we do as a class to get people more interrested in recycling. How could we demonstarte to others, showing them the importance of keeping our environment clean by recycling. How could we alter our environment by getting more people concerned about recycling and keeping our Earth clean. Analysis: How would we classify the materials in our environment and put it into catagories to be recycled. How would you explain your concerns for our environment to our local government? What would you do to get the message across to them on the importance of recycling? Synthesis: Students would generate a plan of action to get more people involved in their fight for a cleaner environment. The students would design a class bumper sticker using the computer to help them design graphics. Evaluation: Produce a class generated bumper sticker and pass out to the pubic in order to show them how important recyling is to them and to the environment. Differentiation Activities Flexible Grouping , Exit Cards , Interest Based Investigations ,
Description Flexible Grouping: Students will be placed into groups and work cooperatively to generate a bumper sticker on recycling. Interest Based Investagations: Students are concerned with the amount of garbage that is thrown out just from the school cafeteria alone. They want to show people that it is very important to our environment that we do something about all the garbage. Exit Cards: Create, produce, and distribute a class bumper sticker about recycling.
